Nexus attacks that teleport you to another level. (Especially when you're about to pick up that ring of speed you just identified but haven't yet made space for in your inventory.)

Not finding Free Action before 1250

    Confusion

oh yes - and lightning destroys your rod of teleport other.

Or the cold hound/impact hound/earth hound destroys that gain stat potion right as you were going to pick it up!

when youre at a shallow depth and the staircase hides from you. idk why, i dont even care about turn count, but yeah. "out of my way vermin, i have an idiotic death to catch!"

also i sure wish packs of hounds could breathe ball effects, that would just perfect the experience.

Yes, there was. I think before 4.1
Actually I did like that. It forced me to solve problems differently when running around with a rouge having str and wis swapped and it was quite memorable for me.

Maybe reduce your base delay factor?

I also agree about townspeople. Solved that problem by turning off Word of Recall.

Also, starting with a Word of Recall scroll when Recall is turned off. I could start with just gold, but theres no guarantee the store will stock a dagger, a precious, precious dagger, and Id rather be saddled with a useless scroll than a bad weappn.

I get unfairly annoyed when my home is full and my inventory is full at the same time

Pressing 'h' repeatedly to fire arrows at a fleeing monster only to have him run past a sleeping mob...

Townspeople were annoying me, too. Then I made the BG get SP when he kills them.
