3.1 Observations: I fixed the cloak/graphics problem by simply editing the 32x32 bmp and erasing the cloak. It will still appear as a shadow (via the mask) if you find an actual cloak.
I'm not sure how a feel about finding stacks identical items, or the logic behind it. I now have 9 potions of confusion.
