Just found my first artifact in comp attempts. Wound was due to a blind eye + 2 harpies that were offscreen when I got blinded and blanked. !Hero, ?Protection from evil and a couple !CSWs were enough to melee Whiskers pretty easily. We'll see how it goes from here.

I seem to have the mem to pull of most spells reasonably well, and with the cloak's speed bonus, shoot and scoot down corridors is a reasonably effective way to dish out damage with little to no risk (although ironband mana means it's not exactly *free* anymore).

Free action would be very nice around now. I had a run in with a ghoul that I barely survived (con down to 6, hp in the teens when the paralysis wore off). My own stupidity for not looking at the monster list as I mowed down zombies, but I suspect it'll only get worse from here.
