Well, HallucinationMushroom beat me for the first Sil dump of a char entering the throne room, though I guess Rhunim got there a *bit* faster. Getting there was actually surprisingly easy, I think a total of 2 or 3 monsters noticed me the whole game, though I have no idea if I have any chance of takeing away a Silmaril (no spoilers please)

Right. So attacking Morgy wasn't the smartest thing to do, I should have listened to the "DO YOU REALLY WANT TO DO THIS" warning. I hope there's a way to get at the gems without having to survive a beating by Grond. Next time I'll explore the throne room a bit more, maybe there is some iron crown lying in some corner.

I'd like to make a comment to point something out, which would be a very minor kind of a hint/spoiler. Shall I refrain?

Well done on getting to the throne room, by the way!

All right, some hint might be for the best, as I didn't really know what to do in front of the Dark Lord.

Interesting... you were able to walk right up to Morgoth. Awesome! I was mulling over my own demise and wondered if I should've found a way to do that. I'll probably guess incorrectly, but I bet we were supposed to walk up to Morgoth and disarm him using ctrl+movement. Maybe that would attempt to remove a silmaril... ??? I dunno. Anyway, I was hoping you would reel in the victory after I perished and saw your character. And I must admit, 28 hitpoints?! Impressive. That's some serious nerve you've got.

You made a speculation about the endgame before which, while not precisely accurate, was pretty close.

I'm glad to see a pure stealth character looks viable! I suspected it was: I've tried a couple of different versions of them before, but the best I've got is ~600ft, and I think half is similar. What did you do on the occasions when monsters did notice you?

I just ran and tried to avoid fast and alert monsters like cats and werewolves. Most of the time it was enough to get out of LOS, thanks to Vanish. Though some amount of luck is needed, too. I lost several other chars to dropping spiders.

Yeah, Vanish is pretty good and makes this kind of character a lot more fun to play.

With regard to the spiders, with such low strength you're almost certainly going to want to value something to help you escape webs (Free Action or Song/Staff of Freedom).
