    In older versions (i.e. before version 4 or 5, I don't remember), chardumps used to display a numerical damage range. Nowadays, there is just an average or so. (i.e. or so, meaning branded damage has its own average too).

    There's something buggy about how martial arts damage is displayed. I can press ~w, ~w, ~w without taking a turn & every time the damage output displayed is different. I'm wearing Narya if that makes a difference.

    Apparently, one of the PosChengband forks had a significant change made to the Duelist class. Perhaps, this should be incorporated into Chris' official PosChengband release in the future. See gomen_gomen's winning Duelist. You'll see what I mean.

    It would be neat to see hex mage redesigned as an extreme debuff class (like the Etrian Odyssey hexer) instead of the useless broken-english oddity that it is now.

    Sounds kinda close to the sorcery realm. Sorcery has the detects/teleports & other utils as well but you'd need something pretty good to skip the extra goodies sorcery grants to make it viable.

    I think both of these are bugs. Combat Ring should give equal damage with the ring on either hand for martial artists. But, maybe there is now a aesthetic reason for lefties (i.e. Ring on Left Hand for two-handed martial arts) to do more damage, who knows?

    A bit off topic: By design, I definitely know the Main Gauche is supposed to give an AC bonus if wielded left-handed

    Anyone knows why the damage is different on a martial artist if you shift the combat ring on to the other hand? I'm not using a shield. It's listing better damage for the combat ring on the off-hand, with higher percentages of the latter strikes.

    Coincidentally, this is the solution with the most bile wyrms in it. Bile wyrms are my favorite.
