I keep thinking I've fixed that...

I'm hanging around in Nargothrond, current charlevel 36. I am reluctant to take on the boss fight. While I can't find decent foot gear there seems to be an abundance of DSMs (thematically appropriate, I suppose ^^).
Tried out 1.4,4 to fix the history bug. The dump still displays characters with accents as odd symbols.

It was generated with the level. I had not encountered Mim yet at that point.

It's a bug. The file was updated and renamed, and the new name didn't get used everywhere. You can find it in lib/help, where it is now called "mapmode.txt"

I believe it's available from my sig and also distributed as a png with FA itself. Gotta run (*needs confirmation).

I'm not sure if this has been fixed in the latest version yet as I'm still playing a game from 1.4.1 and don't want to upgrade mid-game, but wanted to at least mention it so I don't forget.
    Thanks, fixed in development.

    FAangband 1.4.4

Version 1.4.4 (One Gross, if I may use the expression) is now available from the downloads page and the variants tab.

This version fixes a stupid bug which stopped character history showing properly - note that the history is still there, loading into 1.4.3 will not have lost it.

Yep, broke that good. Easy fix, but there's going to have to be another release. Tomorrow.
