Bugs and issues in 4.1.2

A minor bug I've run across: if you start up the attached savefile, and then as your first action you drop 1 wand of annihilation, the game dies with a "software bug" message. Other actions seem to be fine.
Note that I actually generated this savefile on a nightly:
angband-7c2ab53ab688a9f8535896ee9961c61bc8b3ec16
When I noticed it dying, I downloaded the official 4.1.2, but it dies in the same way. It is of course possible that maybe whatever the problem is wouldn't have happened in the first place on 4.1.2, but I don't know exactly how I got into this situation, so I don't know exactly how to reproduce it "from scratch".Attached FilesComment

Pile integrity failure on v4.1.2.
pile_error.txt as follows:
Pile integrity failure at obj-pile.c:213
Guilty object
=============
Name: & Lantern~
Dwarf priest on 900'. Had an issue with breeders (fruit flies), so portaled away. Took out my lantern for resting (to save fuel), inventory was full so overflowed onto floor. R& and crashed. I've had overflowing light sources + resting before, first time it crashed on me though. Shame as a I had a 3-7 feeling and found "ESP.
[Edit] Nevermind, reloaded and found out I got the same level so nothing was lost, I have another chance to stop those pesky fruit fliesComment

No, I played the game "straight". It is perhaps worth noting that there are a couple of other wand of annihilation lying on the ground nearby that used to be in my inventory and that I had dropped there during the preceeding turns. I think maybe it has something to do with the particular square I drop it in (? maybe?), but I don't really know.
If you think this is a random failure (e.g. a bad disk write during a save or something), I'm certainly willing to accept that judgement.Comment

Humm .. while I did not use debug commands, the first part of this bug report is interesting. They are seeing a bug on wand recharge. That is in fact what my character was doing here: drop a wand, use Greater Recharge, move, drop another wand, use Greater Recharge, etc. My savefile hits a bug when dropping the wand, not on casting Recharge, but possibly the previous recharges are somehow contributing? Don't really know, but it seemed worth mentioning.Comment

Do 'out-of-depth' money piles really trigger a high level feeling?
I started a Half-Elf Paladin ironman on angband.live and got 1-6 on 50ft. Went on to map EVERY square and only thing even remotely close to 'good treasures' was 200 AU sapphire pile. There were no monsters that can pick up stuff from the floor or destroy it. The very best item on the floor was a dagger (+3,+4)
Problem here is not having a level feelings option on. I know there are plenty of useless items that can trigger it and make a buffoon like me waste his time on the first goddamn level. But money piles? This feature benefits absolutely no-one and should be removed.
Also: if I'm wrong and money doesn't trigger it and I somehow have missed something, please counter ferociously.Comment

It's easy to get a 6 feeling on 50ft from something you will not even notice. A simple Halberd +0 +0 will do (base depth 25).PWMAngband variant maintainer - check https://github.com/draconisPW/PWMAngband (or http://www.mangband.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=9) to learn more about this new variant!Comment

Found lying on the floor at 50 feet (level 1)
It makes your skin harder to damage, but conduct electricity.
It occasionally summons a demon.
It occasionally makes a loud noise.
Do curses qualify? Otherwise, that item 1-6 has been vanished.Comment
