Thanks, Nick. I was never sure if @ was taking lava damage or blow damage and tried not to stand around on it to find out.Leave a comment:

Thanks, fixed in development now; also message on taking lava damage (and player does in fact take lava damage if they keep standing on it - I notice no-one reported that one).Still some basic pathing issues. See the following. @ was on a RoP in a small anti-summoning closet fighting Gothmog. The balrog broke the RoP and created lava. @ phase doored out. Gothmog pursued into the vacated square, but is now "trapped" behind his own lava. @ is just outside in the corridor, but Gothie won't come out to find @ unless @ moves up into line of sight.

Why are mithril shod boots heavier than iron shod boots? Doesn't make any sense to me.
"Mithril! All folk desired it. It could be beaten like copper, and polished like glass; and the Dwarves could make of it a metal, light and yet harder than tempered steel. Its beauty was like to that of common silver, but the beauty of mithril did not tarnish or grow dim." - Gandalf the Grey explaining mithril to the Company while passing through Khazad-dûm.Leave a comment:

Yeah, thanks - I also need to check the player actually continues to take damage. What about notification of taking damage from newly created lava underfoot? Currently, when, for example, a Greater Balrog breathes fire and creates lava under @'s feet, there is no notice that the lava is even there unless @ steps off the spot or "looks" at the spot, other than taking damage which player might assume was coming from blows rather than from something underfoot. Maybe a message about damage from burning lava is appropriate if @ is not immune?
It's just based on power of breath, with some randomness.Leave a comment:

While thinking about lava, I notice monsters can breathe or cast frost and turn lava into rubble, but @ frost balls, bolts, or breaths do not do the same. Is that an intentional disparity?Leave a comment:

I've made my thoughts known with regard to status effects, but one thing which particularly bugs me is staves of slow/confuse having 4-5 charges and wands of the same having 2-4.
I'd also like to request that DSM gets a 45 degree arc - currently in most circumstances you just get a beam and it's pretty underwhelming, making early DSMs less attractive.Leave a comment:

Honestly, i do like the new rune system, but ...
Not having scrolls of identify is painful. And hacing staves, wands and potions still unidentified at CL50, DL80 is really irritating.
Maybe we can have $identify work on one rune OR item? For non-rune gear? Im tired of having to quaff !contemplation.Leave a comment:

This sounds odd. Did it turn out to be cursed?
Currently 10 bugs/changes outstanding - healers in warrior pits and bogus {tried} label on devices are fixed in development. Let me know if I've missed anything.Leave a comment:

Update to this update: new game in the same nightly, just had the torch I started the game with behave perfectly correctly on running out; "Your light is growing faint" warnings, "Your light has gone out!" message, torch disappeared when out of fuel. Now I'm even more baffled...Some related oddities - you no longer seem to get the warning messages to tell you when the light level is running low, and instead of the "your light has gone out" message when it completely runs out, you get "Your Wooden Torch has recharged."
