    Tips for necromancer?

Trying out the new class, haven't made it far but what I have found so far useful:

Best one so far: After your darkness spell gets 2 radius, you can fire it off outside the doorway to get 1st grid inside room dark while maintaining light in room, gives you full view of room monsters but zero light level for better spellcasting. I assume also monsters without darkvision can't see/hit you with ranged stuff? Human adventurer parties especially?

Keymacro batform, and then hitting rr to return if you are diving hard to get the extra speed (and did it have more stealth, what does it actually give?) with minimal hassle

For early start, shovel/pick and scum 1st level for gold veins for shooter/ammo feels even more powerful, as you can rely on the dmg spells mainly and thus don't need 4 stacks of ammo for diving XD

Crush and fruit flies for some leveling scumming in a big room. Lols it is quick.

Haven't got far yet, so if anyone has any neat tricks like the darkness spell/room one, lemme know.

You can pour a Lantern of True Sight into another lantern and use the empty lantern of TS for SeeInvis and rBlind without light penalties. This trick has been posted before, but I present it again just in case you had not heard about it

Very clever! These hidden tricks make this kind of game attractive.

It seems to me that a temporary ESP spell in book 2 (CL ~26) is not an unreasonable possibility for a class dependent on darkness. 8 turns of ESP is useful in a fight, but less so for wandering around the dungeon. And it is class appropriate.

Whats wrong with resting for 7500? Its fewer clicks than pouring, if you have a rest macro.

There's a similar trick with light wands where they don't light the square you are actually standing on.

                  For shapeshifters and auto_more=yes

Example of keymap for returning to normal and cast a spell: myac'

It works in normal mode too.
