Why not give Morgoth every ability there is?

False floors should be more prevalent and more difficult to find. Worms should be more common and should start reproducing immediately when the player enters the level. There should be fewer ways to remove and detect curses, and more cursed items.

Eh. I'm gonna remove false floors from my game. Fundamentally there's little to nothing there strategically, it's just a die roll. (I know, "invest in perception, or walk around with Song of Freedom". I get it.) I figure smiths have enough disadvantages already when they have to leave a level. This just levels the playing field a bit.

And unlike removing monsters from the game, you don't lose experience for removing a trap type.

Edit: Hmm. It may not be possible to remove false floors via edit files.

Remove Greatswords (and Gretaxes) from the game - they are not historically accurate for the european iron and early mediaval ages, and always having the option to carry a shield with any given weapon leaves some extra decisions in the players hands.

Give Anglachel a multitude of spoken phrases like "Watch out for that orc!" and "Let me at 'em". Failure to slay a unique with it should make you check will to resist suicide.

    Capture.

Instead of being killed, you can just get completely surrounded by orcs, have all your gear taken and get dragged off to operate a forge endlessly (but not get to keep what you make). Advanced players are stuck on top of Thangorodrim somewhere and unable to move.

A wider variety of food items, and a scurvy tracker that gives you penalties if you just eat bread all the time.
