I think any% would just be 41mil points or higher / You brought back a Silmaril from Morgoth's crown!
and 100% would be 141.3mil points or higher / escape with three sils and Morgoth dead. (Although I think a better name for it would be 'any% best ending', because 100% implies something like... 100% uniques killed, or 100% exp acquisition (which is only possible in a TAS, if even that), or 100% score acquisition (also impossible, since you can always have a faster game)
The cool thing is that the way score works, you can't beat someone's score with less completion of the game (in terms of sil acquisition, Morgoth killing and I think also how far up you got on the ascent and stuff like that) so it's very objectively defined.
Also, you can turn off travel delay and animation delay and make the game's level generation faster (with a better computer/SSD?) for slight speedups, though those won't change any aspect of strategy.

we should speedrun this game in real time, that sounds fun and really really hard. My goal time is 1:30, I start my timing on the press of the b button at the game creation screen.
Generally SDA rules have 2 main catagories
    Any%
    and 100%
Any % is any way of beating the game so the following would count I guess for sil
    Killing morgoth
Taking (any number of) silmarils out of crown and escaping
    100% would be (realistically)
    Kill morgoth
Take all silmarils off of his crown (or the crown itself)
    Escape
Right now my route for any% is
    starting stats
    2 STR 5 DEX 4 con 3 gra

put 5 points in melee 6 in archery 4 in evasion and 2 in smithign
    Get to the first forge
Take weaponsmithing by going @aga6y esc esc esc
Build bow by pressing 0aebf enter
Build 2 sets of arrows using 0afaf x2
From here get lucky and find arrows on ground
Take flaming arrows (hotkey's @i26 Enter abf6y esc esc esc need 700 EXP
Dive down super fast spamming flaming arrows like a crazy person
Take sprinting Hotkey setup @i22666 enter, (need 3.3k exp)
boost melee/archery (play by feel here)
Take lore keeper and lore master setup @i22226666666 enter ed6y enter f 6y enter esc esc esc (EXP needed 4.3k)
Boost archery/melee/evasion/ Take dexterity from archery (by feel)
If needed take Song of the trees (exp needed 2k)
Take Rakou Bane if needed as well (exp needed 1.5k)
Take poision resistance as well if needed (EXp needed 4.3k)
in general aviod taking Trees/Bane/resistance until the last minute because to many of these REALLY hurts your time
    Boost archery/melee/evasion (by feel)
Take song of sharpness (sans song of the trees exp needed 7k with song of trees exp needed 6.5k)
Boost melee/archery/evasion (more feel based stuff)
Take the following skills before entering thrown room
    Precision, Rapid shot, Woven themes
    Enter thrown room
Become a SUPER NOLDOR (rage + Con gra STR DEX, fast singing slaying and sharpness )
    Kill morgoth
hold down on 5 until you die
    VICTORY!
Is a stealth build better? Could this route be improved by going melee instead? How about versitility instead of putting points in melee?

If you're wearing an amulet of adornment and have high grace, you should have a chance of stunning Easterlings with your attractiveness when you come into view.

    That was fun!
    You should call it HorseSlaughter.
Anyone want to buy a buster sword?
I've got loads (some of them are a bit icky coz they're covered in pink pony blood).

Alternatively, allow the player to intentionally break a Sil and release the light inside, for an effect equivalent to activating a staff of light and a staff of majesty simultaneously.

If you're trying to pry a Sil and you miss the crown entirely, you might hit one of the Sils instead and break it. Most dangerous when wielding Angrist, since the Sils probably have quite a high protection value.
