Thanks! Turns out it won't go there on Bazzite because the OS is immutable, so I had to change the installation path when running the configure script...

Thanks! Looks like I had to reinstall SDL2 (brew reinstall sdl2); somehow in the process of trying to get the game to build I broke my installation....
