Just got a 2-9 on 250' and scored... Arcane Control, and I'm actually playing a mage! Of course it will be a while before I can cast anything out of this but my last game I made it to 3900' without finding any books so I guess the rng felt guilty about that.

Yeah - those early advanced spell book finds just end up meaning you have to carry around 3 more pounds of weight for 20+ levels

This dwarf paladin finds the Battle Blessings book at 500 feet!
(not yet useful per se - but I can afford the extra weight because of my speed ring

I've gone through whole games without -9 levels. This is insane.
