I just won with my rogue
This game's randarts were quite good, actually. There were several slots where the game generated absolutely zero end-game quality pieces (like body armor, maybe excepting the one in my bank) but it generated a ton of good jewelry and weapons. And it seemed like every damn randart had telepathy or an immunity on it, so that made things easier. Early telepathy is like a warm blanket... And my palantir activated for "Map The Whole Damn Level" which made it super easy to farm vaults and dragon pits. Here are the top few notables:
I used this with a ring of acid to batter down Sauron in about 10 rounds. 8 attacks/round O_o
I melee'd Morgoth with this beauty. 108 damage per swing (due to the +36 damage on the weapon).
This was definitely a game of Rings. This one helped a lot with having 2 immunities and a host of resists, FA, hold life, and +DEX and +INT.
And this is the crowning achievement, which I was fortunate enough to find. Super useful in all ways.
