That being said, I'm having a good start with the artifacts and corruptions. I got the Cloak of Thorongil and the Metal Cap of Thengel early on, which are helping me. I also got junk artifact that activates to gain corruption and used that to maximize my corruptions. And oh yeah, I named this character Ancalagon. I'm trying my luck against the RNG.

When I left the 4th level, I got a message from Eru saying that I blew it. Then afterwards I thought it would be a good idea to get out of there fast. Well, that didn't happen. I was squares away from the '<' staircase on the 1st and I get pummeled left and right by the monsters. And yeah, I forgot to bring scrolls of the Word of Recall too. What a bummber.
