Burned through countless attempts to get to Amon Rudh, this is the first that has reached. Teleport traps were just lethal...

This character is not doing to badly. Missile damage is around 24/turn, which is not too bad, and have those well balanced spears for some extra oomph.

The bow is definitely better, but arrows deplete really fast. The crossbow is pretty effective, mowed down a bunch of trolls with ease. Damage is fine at these levels; less than melee or magic, but you don't lose hp like in melee or worry about quickly running out of mp for magic. Thus, fights against middling mobs go ok.

I think that ranger damage happens to be very drop dependent-- this character is pretty new, and does quite good damage (lucky with gloves of agility in BM, excep bow from Mim).

Velveeta is now locked and loaded. Onto to Nargothrond.
