Anyhoo, scummed for 1) light source 2) a few levels 3) source of blink (required for Moreau) 4) Springboard on level 3.

Potion of speed helped to deal with Moreau, but is inceidental. Perhaps I should have tried for another source of speed. Things give lots of xp down there, so it's hard not to level up too fast. Makes unlocking things difficult.

I was level 29 going into the end -- picked up 1 level killing Moreau, and 1 for collateral damage (ankou), and 1 for Fu Manchu.

Anyhoo, if you could unlock things well, then Earth's Hearth would give you full sp a bit earlier, which is the real issue with the naturalist class -- water helps a lot with the regen (and so would an item...), but who's complaining.

I think I managed a no-artifact game (but not on purpose!)

Lightning storm is way overpowered. LOS abuse is very, very mean.

Got lucky with the find of the amulet of the magi. It gives FA, which is cruicial with wonderland, because you're not guaranteed the first move of the level.

You're also not even guaranteed the first move of the game, and I've had some "games" which were instadeath before I got a move. Free action really cuts down on those deaths.

Most of my equipment came from like 2 chests I managed to sneak out of vaults. Of course, this character is plenty powerful enough to *clear* vaults, but that gives lots of xp, which I was trying to avoid.
