This is a reasonably strong @ for this point (by 2.9.3 standards) but I've had a couple close calls, usually involving hounds, and I'm starting to move from death-zone to mega-death-zone so will have to be very careful and wouldn't be surprised to die soon. My melee isn't as good as on clouded's @ (getting my WIS and DEX swapped doesn't help there...) but I have more mana now with that +4 INT ring, seeing actual use out of Haste Self already.

Ammo shortages are the biggest practical problem, I tend to run out of ammo fighting uniques. Of course there's no need to kill all of them, but it does show what would likely happen if I were to dive to Sauron now.

That was... careless I suppose, but also incredibly unlucky. Had just killed the Mouth of Sauron. Uriel snuck up on me while I was focused on the loot, and double-breathed me from a reverse-hockey-stick immediately after my tempspeed ran out.

I did have telepathy so should have noticed Uriel approaching, I knew he was on the level but thought he was safely away on the other side.
