Phew, I almost tore my hair out with this one. At 46 I couldn't wear Narya, or my speed would have dropped to +18, but I figured it was time to meet Sauron at this point, despite having 6 uniques left to kill. Sauron has been very easy with my priestly winners, but not this time, oh no. First of all, during the end game it has been a major hell trying to scum up enough healing potions to take on Sauron and the Tarrasque. The Tarrasque was hopeless without potions, but I gave it a go when I had 8 of them collected. But Sauron gave me a hell of a lot of trouble. I had problems setting up runes, so he wouldn't summon. I had problems with finding him after he teleported away (he doesn't tunnel like Morgy), before he's regened back to full hp; he really does that quickly, and three times he teleported level (guuh!! and not even a message about him leaving the level, just that he teleported 'away') when I hurt him more than a trifle, and one of those times he was down to 2 bleeding stars (I basically shot him without any counterattacks that time, but the other times I needed to phase out from my twisty corridors very often).. Arrrrghh...

I decided to kill the remaining uniques, but was too tired to go for the last one, Mouth of Sauron. By this time I found Aglarang, and its speed +5 bonus was the last problem solver I needed. I could now wear Narya and have +22 speed. In half an hour, Sauron was killed in my twisty corridors.

It took about 2 hours to kill him, all in all. And he dropped the junkiest junk, and so did Gothmog and Saruman. Those used to be my loot favorites.

Then it was scumming time again, for healing potions and seeker/mithril arrows. It's really a pain to get those potions at times. You can be lucky a few times in a row, but you know that sooner or later, you're gonna waste 15 minutes without seeing a single one in the BM. Those trips add up.

After going through all that trouble, I didn't feel too bad about killing Morgoth with sea of runes, arrows, and teleport other.
