Just realized I screwed up really badly. When Leon died, I used the birth process saying "yes" to the "New character based on previous one" rather than redownload the original savefile. Thus Leon II had the same beginning stats, but was different in that he retained knowledge of the first character, the town was in a new configuration, and his birth description changed. I just read Nick's sticky post on the competition rules and, yep, there it is. Can't use the birth process to start the new character. Leon II must die. I'm going to run him into the next monster and stand there, suicide by cop style.
