This is my best character in a while. When first starting a character I like to dip into the dungeon immediately to 100' or 150' and back up and then purchase a starting kit. Following that is a dive down to 400 or 500' and recall for another round of kit. During that 2nd dive with his char I found a GDSM lying at 200'. 500 damage poison breath has made this game very smooth so far. General strategy is to hunt packs with damage spells and liberal use of sleep monster to retreat down hallways to rest. From here I will continue the press into deeper territory and work on raising attributes..

Banshee's wail is a great tool at this stage. I also keep all of those rods drained at all times in the dungeon. This character is quite a bit of fun to run now.
