Speaking of weak melee characters, I did a bit of a post mortem and discovered that Burglar was a bit too weak for a win. I think it would have been possible, but would have required something like 70 *Healing* to do it. Why? Well, the main culprit turned out to be nerfing of *Destruction*. Once the battle hits a certain point, you can no longer damage the Serpent faster than it regenerates, and this is definitely what happened to Burglar. The Serpent ate about 60 or 70 rounds of melee without losing a single star! For my wizard mode analysis, I found that early on the J regenerated about 500hp after every teleport, but once the level got saturated with destruction resistant summons, that number was more like 2000hp. When you only do 300hp per round in melee, you see that you just can't make any progress ... Nobody can stand toe-to-toe with the J for 7 rounds (not counting rounds spent *Healing*).

I made some adjustments, and it is now possible to win with melee with about 500 damage per round, AC190 and 26 base speed. I took about 45 *Healing* and 40 Healing to do it ... and about 35 *Destruction*. So the effort will be Herculean, but at least it is possible again. Of course, everybody else seems to melee for 2k and that is definitely a different experience, but I'm going to nerf things a bit. 600 should be the upper end for 5 attack characters, and warriors and monks should never do more than 800. If I spot melee for over 1000, I will respond :D

Back to my Crusader, the Skeleton is a really nice race with 2 very key resistances: Poison and Shards! But there is an interesting liability: Never quaff Healing while standing near your foe! Every potion generates a shatter effect when you quaff ... And there really is no need to spot the J some extra healing.

The Barrow Downs had Wrath of the God, so this character played very fast. I just needed to level up to L42 in the lair, and sprint for the win. With all those quests, I gained plenty of experience in the process. This build is very powerful, but fragile. And you know I had some scary moments versus Loki!

Also, I think Divine Intervention needs to be toned down a bit ...

Finally, I was thinking of changing the Chaos realm to be Armageddon instead. Essentially, every spell would be for direct damage though Mana Storm would be the upper end, removing Breathe Logrus. Would this be a good thing or do people like Chaos as it is? Its too damn hard to add new realms to the game, so I'm not willing to do that ... But changing an existing realm is fairly straight forward.
