5 stat potions (Str, Int, Con, Dex, Dex) and Hammerhand in the Downs. Upon leaving, the BM had some cool armor of resistance for 145k ... A bit heavy (and pricey!) but it covers poison, allowing me to swap in a con ring for what I think (hope?) is enough to take on Smaug. The problem is, how to hurt the foul dragon?

Upon debugging, the bug stems from adding max monster depth a gadzillion releases ago ... Actually, once a HM hits about L20 the spell will just stop working, which was not what I intended.

Smaug had the phial which was mysteriously missing from the Barrow Downs, so I bashed the Lords for a so so replacement. Never scoff at blindness resistance, though ...

In other news, the combo of Summon Manes and Infernal Deal is simply awe inspiring. Surround by a horde of weak demons, I possess both the fortitude and knowledge to take down the mightiest of foes! All it requires is wide open spaces ... I only wish the rooms were bigger ;)

Summon Manes gets my vote for most overpowered spell in the game! For Bramd, I could just cast every time I wanted to heal completely and regain a couple hundred sp, which meant I could just stand in melee range and lob nexus storm after nexus storm. Of course, the combo does take 2 moves to work, but 1 of those moves is a 220hp nexus storm so all is not wasted.
