BTW! You also need to make sure that Teleport is not considered an attack spell for Ticked Off purposes. Hunting down Alberich is... extremely annoying.. when he teleports after every Eldritch Blast.

He shouldn't teleport/heal until down to 1/3 of max hp if he is ticked off. If he is not ticked off, that is another matter.

Farming Magma Intrusions with Warlock is easy, because I don't have to move. I just set up a macro to keep Satisfying Hunger, Eldritch Spear down the corridor 8 times, and then Rest 9999. Occasionally I'll go and pick up some of the gold (I think the "item compression" sometimes removes gold >_<).

Since the monsters never spawn in your LoS, there's not much trouble as long as you don't move much.

Old Castle isn't possible at this point (Dracolich! Iron Lich! Greater Mummies!), so I went back into Angband. Brand for my lvl 50 quest. I decided Brand is almost always worth the Amberite curse risk, and killed him (3 !oHealing, including 1 that topped off my HP at the end).

With my random teleportation item, Brand's spell revenge acted against him. I kept seeing things like:

Brand grunts in pain.
Brand is ticked off.
Brand teleport away.
Do you follow? Y
Brand is no longer ticked off.

After killing him, I saw a Light Crossbow (x4), but chastised myself not to get my hopes up. It could be William Tell. But nope, it was actually Brand! (BTW, anyone ever wonder why Brand is so slow at +10 speed, even with his crossbow? That's like +0 base speed, compared to all the other Amberites at +20...)

Stunning Blast, even with the gimped stunning, is still the best option for mid-30's warlocks against single foes. Brand was stunned only about 1 in 3, but that equated to about a 1/6 reduction of damage for me.

Time to abuse my high speed and kill some dragons!

For The Cloning Pits, you had a shot at Shiva's Boots, so they are not totally removed as a possible quest reward. I hadn't thought of the Demon pact wrt The Cloning Pits ... Ouch! These pacts are tough!
