Decided to try the half-troll after winning with the dwarf. I usually play dwarf for priests and had never tried a half-troll. I felt like the dwarf is a much better starter with the high wisdom and good infravision. I played very slowly and cautiously compared to the dwarf. I did finish with fewer active turns on the half-troll, but that's because I didn't realize with the dwarf that I was supposed to be going for active turns and not total turns.

Interestingly, I never found a single pair of boots of speed with this character, despite going out of my way to look. Dexterity was also a problem, and I spent quite some time trying to get up to 4 blows with an endgame weapon.

Most of the game, I used either a Holy Avenger War Hammer or a War Hammer of Gondolin, swapping to the Short Sword 'Dagmor' when I wanted better melee damage at the expense of 0% spell failure (and See Invisible before I found the Star of Elendil).

Sauron dropped the Gil-Galad shield and the Doomcaller blade. These made my final kit much easier to manage. Doomcaller has massive damage vs Morgoth, and was light enough for me to get 4 blows even with subpar dex, unlike Calris, Glaive of Pain, and Durin. Gil-Galad gave me a more convenient source of Disenchant resistance, and enough wisdom to get 0% failure for all my key spells with a non-priestly weapon (and Elessar instead of an amulet of devotion).
