    True, not much of a reason anymore. Rods used to (probably still do) have a slightly lower fail rate than other devices (with high enough device skill) so I preferred to use them for clutch abilities. I guess it doesn't matter much.

      Can rods of recall actually be destroyed? They can't in vanilla & I've never seen 1 go in the older poscheng versions, haven't found 1 of the new 1s yet,

        At the very least they can be stolen.

        Edit: I was pretty sure I've seen a rod explode... but I cannot duplicate it or see anything about it in the code so I guess I was wrong.

          It definitely happens. Not sure why though. I have had a rod and 2 staves blow up.

            If a device is cursed, it has 1 in 6 chance of exploding. Uncursed devices can't explode from use.

            They can, however, be popped by elemental damage, and I'm not sure recall wands are protected from this in poscheng.

                    For some weird reason you have to pay now. Legal name change in the building that gives Wargs quest.

                          There are some compile errors here saying that there are conflicting declarations of usleep and putenv. Removing the declarations makes it compile.

                          lib/help/Makefile also looks outdated.

                            I'd like to request that you add the option to display Race/Class on the information section of the game screen.

                            There is a small roguelike community I belong to that often shares screenshots of the game, but due to the lack of race/class on the screen following 4.0, people are often confused about what exactly the person is playing as (especially if it's a monster race and the player is in a pack of monsters).

                            It would be most appreciated.

                              Funny, I only now noticed that it's missing. You could highlight the player character, that would help with the race at least.

                                AFAIK, that only(?) works with Monster races and not with regular races.
