[Mist] Names for artifacts needed!

Huginn means "thought" and Muninn means "mind", so perhaps some mage-type equipment? (Helms/caps perhaps?)

There's loads of good stuff in Norse mythology, I think. Have a gander at some of the names here:

Jörmungandr
Sleipnir (for boots, perhaps?)
Fenrir (for a cloak? "Fenrir's Hide"?)

(and of course the gods themselves, Loki, Odin and all their aliases.)

The Serpent Jörmungandr: I've already got the Emerald Morning Star 'Serpent Eye'.

Fenrir is too mainstream for me, and so are Loki and Odin (alternate names are cool, though). I'm looking for obscure myths or just cool sounding names. I've already got five goddesses in the Halls of Mist, and I don't need to add any more gods to the pantheon.

Added The Soft Leather Boots 'Sleipnir'. The Old Norse word for "slippy" or "the slipper" is a perfect name for boots.

How about The Set of Gauntlets 'Thought & Mind'? Falconers have gauntlets too, so these would make some kind of sense for the Raven Master.

Hey, the Raven Master might make a cool unique. Maybe name her Odina, the Raven Master for a little twist, and mention the lost gauntlets in her flavour text. She sounds like a Vargr to me.

In Finnish the ravens are called Thought and Memory. (Ajatus ja Muisti.) Memory sounds better than Mind here, I think, and it seems to be an alternate translation in English, too.

Can't help but think at the Lannisters when seeing "Golden Full Plate" so maybe "Lion's Pride" for that (boosting combat)?

I like the rather dark sound of the latin "Umbra" for shadow, might fit for the shadow cloak, though maybe a bit generic.

For some reason I googled up "umbra nihil" and found a Finnish doom metal band. I can't recall ever hearing that band name, but maybe subconsciously I have.

Shadow Cloak 'Umbra Nihil' sounds positively evil to me, it's "Shadow Nothing" or something like that.

I imagine Skultgard occultists and animists often speaking Latin and maybe Greek rather than Old Norse of the common man, so the name fits.

How about The Set of Gauntlets 'Thought & Mind'?

I renamed it to 'Huginn & Muninn' because the gauntlets don't have bonuses to Memory & Wisdom, and I'd except that for an item named 'Thought & Mind'.

Why not MEM & WIS bonuses? Because rangers get spellcasting penalties for wearing gauntlets, and spellcasting bonuses in gauntlets would make them feel bad.

It's only a tenth level artifact, so true telepathy might be too powerful? Perhaps an activated temporary telepathy with the flavour of sending out the two spirit ravens. I'd also like to give it sustain MEM & WIS.

I already have the longsword 'Mistwalker', so we might want to modify Dreamwalker a bit. Dreamdancer perhaps?

It's good to have some Aether and Chaos artifacts in there. Maybe I'll take a trip to the Mythic Greece next for some Aether name ideas.
