I plan on adding the names of the towns at some point, but don't know when I'll get around to it, so here it is.
Very pretty. If you were really keen on updating it, you could name the regions (Sirion Vale, etc) as well

It's on my list of things to do. The three different East Beleriand paths keep confusing me when trying to select a recall point .

        1.0.1 bugs

hi there. found a couple bugs playing 1.0.1 on the DS. (can't upgrade to 1.0.2 until i am done with my present character). can't recall if these have been reported already or not.

        1) The browse text for the tome Magical Defences shows the wrong spell descriptions. They seem to be shifted i.e. Hold Monsters displays the description for Clear Mind.
        2) Wield a (small)shield and a two handed weapon(quarterstaff), and then wield(quiver) a dagger. Unwield the dagger. You are now holding the two handed weapon and your shield i.e. shield is no longer on back.

edit: I see 1) was fixed in 1.0.2

OK, that's an interesting one. I'll chase that up.

                More minor bugs...

Magestaff description say it activates for mana restoration, even when wielded by a partial or non-caster (who can't activate it).

Items (lamp of gwindor) can be activated before they are ID'd. Description/information doesn't change post activation. I know this is probably WAD, but with the easier/more plentiful 1.0 ID system, I think ID should come first.

A scroll of Identify includes itself in the list of items that can possibly be identified, even if you just read the only one you had.

Tunneling in the wilderness leaves behind a floor tile. Grass or rubble would be a better choice.

                  Cannot drop cursed weapon

I downloaded FAA 1.0.2 last week and tried to play the new mage class. I found and identified an axe of Angband. I did not wield it but was not able to drop it because of the curse, even after reading scroll of Remove curse. Unfortunatelly it was so heavy that I got slowed to -2 and died soon.

Is it a bug or feature?

That is a feature. One of the new random curses is being unable to drop the item. I can't remember the percentages, but you shouldn't expect remove curse to work first time every time.

Note also that subsequent attempts to remove the curse may result in the item blowing up. This is not just any feature, it's one of my favourites Sorry about the death, though. Kind of.

@Nick: FYI: the current US slang for this kind of apology is: "sucks to be you"

No problem, next time I will be more careful. You are really evil :-)

I asked because I played only Vanilla before and this is very different behaviour.

No, I don't have a clue 'bout C, and I'm not starting my own variant.

Some items ID as "can not be uncursed". Does this mean that once wielded you can never drop the item? If the item also has the "undroppable curse" does this mean that the item can never be dropped?
