They aren't always for sale, but you can use heroism instead. And soon enough you'll be resistant to fear in any case (warrior CL 30.)

Ah crap I had no idea. I dropped the scrolls when the rod cast it and doubt I can get back to them before it takes effect.

And if using the rod a second time would cancel it, it's still recharging. Any idea if potions of berserk strength are always sold so I can pick what to keep?

I used a new rod on the level after seeing there's a room of loot and killing the monsters - just in time that I'm gonna get ported out before looting...

Are potions of berserk strength always for sale? Deciding whether to drop them to make room for an unidentified staff.

Found three potions of strength, and a ring of light I think I'll drop...

Drank it, nice bonuses... e.g. str 18/110 to 18/148, dex 18/32 to 18/51.

Found a potion of augmentation, and boots of stability... drink it now?

Using boots of +3 speed, will likely keep using them.

Huge benefit to the damage ring.

The dex ring increases hits from 5.5 to 6.1, but lowers damage 232 to 189.

Should I just junk the rapier of *animal slaying*?

Doubling 1d6 damage doesn't help much nor an INT increase.

Found a ring of DEX +3 so using that and resist poison, both damage rings off.

    Now STR 18/110 DEX 18/62.

Killed the dragons. Now found a rapier of *animal slaying*, but that doesn't look very useful.
