Every level advance, but no more stat restore potions. Enjoy.
takkaria whispers something about options. -more-

There are no restores in town anymore AFAIK.
EDIT: Takkaria beat me to it.

'Reduced incidence of restores in shops' crossed my mind, but... gone? Gone from shops, or just completely gone? Hmmm. I'd normally have found a couple on the floor by now... and I still haven't seen a mushroom of vigo(u)r...

        You complete bastards.

Rods of restoration? Potions of life? Staves of the magi? Other restoratives I can't remember? All gone?

I think all potions of stat including gain one, lose one potions work as stat restores.

This does make early game a lot more...interesting.

In the early game you're normally gaining levels too quickly to bother about it.

By the stage you're liable to get 'timed' the actual Potions Of Stat are lying all over the place.

It's levels 30-40 where it's going to hurt.

To me that is "early game".

This obviously also means that time attacks (like you said) are a lot worse than before. Getting all stats reduced is a bad thing when you are not collecting stat-potions anymore.

While targeting with *, the g command appears broken. Most of the time it does nothing. Sometimes it moves the player a step in a seemingly random direction.

Targeting help displayed with ? says g is a valid option -- so it doesn't seem like an intentional change.
