    rFear and rBlind

    "Resistance" to fear and blindness is currently considered a high resist even though there is no damage reduction. Now that MarbleDice has redone the bitflag code, it should be trivial to change them from high resists to abilities. Should we?

    The biggest downside is that ESP would be less common on items with random abilities, but that would just roughly counteract the recent change that random abilities are guaranteed to be in addition to abilities already provided by the ego.

    The upside is that the various items with random abilities could provide a source of rBlind.

    Yes. When I get around to #803 (elem_table), we'll have a clear distinction between resistance to elements (which will be part of that structure) and other abilities (which won't). So converting rfear and rblind to abilities would be consistent with that approach.

      Just for the sake of better visibility, I wouldn't mind seeing rBlind, rFear, rConf, rPara (free action) and SI grouped into a single column on the Character Screen and in the dump since losing one of these "all or nothing" resists in a late game equipment swap could equal death. Did I miss any?

      After I little more thought, I came up with these groupings which IMO make a little more sense, but could still probably use some tweaking.

        I think if you wear a ring of escaping you have "perma-fear"... I guess in this case maybe there will be a plus in that column under Fear indicating that that object makes you afraid?
