    Feature Request: eliminate predestroyed levels

Can we do without pre-"destroyed" levels? Does anyone actually like them? Whenever I encounter one I just pop right back up the stairs because they're so annoying to negotiate.

      Seconded.

I like hot dogs. I don't, really, but it wouldn't let me type "Seconded" only.

Neutral on the issue. Can take 'em or leave 'em.

I don't enjoy playing on them, but I kind of like the idea of them.

You can't do that in ironman - which makes them a good way to punish anyone who plays ironman.

They are interesting exactly once, which is the first time you ever encounter them. After that, they are annoying...

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

I too hate those levels and will leave them ASAP.

                Get rid of them.

Agreed. Rather than just 'oh, random destruction' we should have something like the ruins of some kind of structure, with pre-defined placement. You could make them a variant on the existing greater vaults, even.

Bah... I better shut up before I start suggesting room-types or such, and get accused of being too ADOM/Nethacky.

This would be easy enough to do - place a vault just as normal, with no monsters, traps or treasure, using granite instead of permanent rock, then earthquake it once or twice?

Advantage is that you get to leverage off all the effort that went into making the vaults in the first place.
