@w1 lets you do 'w1' rather than 'wr' or whatever slot the weapon is in. No hot key required.

Other items can be inscribed with @w1, @w2, ..., @w9, to swap with the "w"ield key and the number. E.g., inscribing a bow with "@w1" and a sling with "@w1", allows player to swap launchers by hitting "w1".“We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see.”

Had a couple of runs with polearms & 1 thing to consider is building a 4lb defender glaive (not that big an investment for a feanor) & getting parry, riposte & momentum. It's got the usual no shield problem all 2handers have but otherwise it's a pretty impressive weapon despite looking fairly ordinary.Comment

Now what I would really like to see would be almost all consumables replaced by words of power, with whatever few athelas/'Rage/!Liqour/swap jewelry left just fitting into your backpack (since it contains just enough provisions to justify the player not needing extra food nor fuel for the entire game).
No ability to cart around extra weapons nor armor in the inventory; the player has access to 2 1-and-a-halfhanders, a shield, a short sword/dagger/hatchet, 2 quiver slots and the amor on his body. Convenient ui and keyboard shortcuts allows the player to toggle shield use, wielding their weapon one or twohanded or swap weapons with the press of a key. Weapon cathegories are streamlined as versatile 1-and-a-halfhanders (given enough player strength) and throwing weapons are rightfully delegated to the quiver slots where they belong.
Sil Souls. Never coming to a store near you.
Now, since I can't code and have the nagging suspicion that the above probably isn't as good an idea as I'd like it to be; Spears anyone? They're pretty cool but can/should they be made more viable main weapons within existing design parameters?Last edited by Shadowfire; June 24, 2016, 02:14.Comment

Parry is pretty boring, but the math usually checks out compared to just boosting evasion as long as you find a decent [+2]; then again I usually smith lategame these days. Wouldn't mind seeing it go as Riposte is where it gets interesting anyhow.
EDIT:
this would make quarterstaves completely worthlessComment
