    When I played recently, I started paying attention to sounds messages (you hear a door whatever). Since Sil lacks magical detection, probably a rough estimate of how far that sound occured would be neat. Probably have certain monsters give off noise that could help you prepare in advance.
    Other existing sounds (orc shouts, for example) could also get rough distance estimates.

    bug: Thrown objects break way too easily (except when thrown at monsters...). I accidently threw a robe and it broke when it hit the wall. Later, I threw another item (a trumpet) and it broke when it didn't even hit anything.

    I just one hit-killed Gorgol.
    33 damage. A 1d9, 1.7lb spear with +1 damage from strength and +2 from optional dual-wield, plus -1 critical threshold from finesse.

    And then I found recharging and identification staves on dlvls 50-200'!
