You'd have to ask Shockbolt for an actual license, but I know they made it clear in the past that they definitely didn't want these used for commercial projects, and I think also for any other non-Angband projects.

I used his tiles for a non-Angband project, with his permission.

I have to drop a note here and say thanks to Shockbolt for the Angband tileset.

I have NEVER liked any of the various tiles in most rogulikes and have always preferred ASCII, but Shockbolts tiles are outstanding and I have come to prefer them so much I doubt I will be able to play another RL without them.

Make it portable, please. Every variant with even rudimentary tile support needs this.

Windows 8 and later has png native support. Is that good enough?

I started working on the remaining Middle-earth characters and creatures today, as stated, these will be included with the Angband tileset:

Both 32x32 and 64x64 tilesets in Post #1 has been updated to include all recently posted new tiles. Again many thanks to Jeff Greene for allowing to include his NPPAngband & Moria tiles into the Angband tilesheet!

I've started working on a small batch of tiles that will be revealed later today, these will also go into the Angband tileset :-)
