I've said this before and I'll say it again. Consumable drop rates should not be affected by TMJ. They should be taken care of with squelch. TMJ should only deal with things that need identification or wielding before chucking.

To answer your question. I think the probability of each of them should be about 90%, that puts the probability for all 5 at about 60%. (maybe a little less since they're not entirely independent events)

You are preaching to the choir, but we don't make policy. Too bad for us.

          Not in my experience.

In particular, any choir of which I was a member would be incapable of singing in tune.

Nobody makes much policy at the moment - but explain what is meant by "consumable drop rates should not be affected by TMJ", as I can't parse it in that form. (Sorry, this should be @fizzix, not Eddie.) Is this effectively saying "the generation of consumables should be completely independent of the generation of wearables"? (Leaving aside whether rods/staves/wands count as consumable.) I think the only way I can imagine that is if monster.txt contains DROP_CONSUMABLE and DROP_WEARABLE flags. Any other approach means that the drop algorithm must make that choice, rendering independence impossible.

But I think I've lost the plot here.

@Timo: I'm not sure what the nightlies are building at the moment. It's probably github/takkaria/angband, which takk is using at his main development repo, so is often not playable. Nightlies were never guaranteed to be balanced, but this is another step. Best to stick with r2041 until the git stuff is a little more mature.
