Competition 138 is now available from the competition page; it is an Angband 3.5-dev Dunadan Paladin.
Special mention to the facts that- It is the same race/class combo as comp 137, to give a good comparison between 3.0.6 and where we are now and
- I think I have persuaded all the Angband devs to play it

That would be cool. I watched your Let's Play Angband videos on youtube which I found to be very enjoyable and informative. My play has gotten much better as a result of watching them, as I now seem to be able to fairly consistently get towards the bottom of the dungeon as long as I survive the first few levels. I would certainly watch more if you released them.Comment

Hmm I don't really like the new magma/quartz vein looking like dark granite when solid blocks is on. It's hard to tell if a wall is magma/quartz or simply an out of LOS granite wall.

Something weird that won't really show with the competition char since it's force_down... the game now is saved each time you change levels, but you only get to see the message when you go UPPWMAngband variant maintainer - check https://github.com/draconisPW/PWMAngband (or http://www.mangband.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=9) to learn more about this new variant!Comment

Bug report 2:
I am in a hallway a bit outside of a room with 2 Dracolisks. I'd like them to come out so I can teleport them away. But they are unable to bash down the door. (??)

Comp 138: Stealth, CON, archery FTW!
6th time's the charm.
Basically, I've played like a Rogue with bad detection. (Stealth is pretty good!)
3 critical events in the game.- Sling of Extra shots (+6,+6) @ 50'. Allowed me to cruise past 1000' at cl 12.
- Rapier (Defender) <+3> @ 1400'. This was just all around a good find.(Stealth, rBase, SI,Regen, FA--all were most welcome.)
- Nexus hound in dark hallway @~2200'. DEX/CON swap was huge win at that point. (I couldn't do any melee at 225HP anyway, so 4.5 blows with SoS of Extra Attacks was just not useful.)
Now at CL 31, 3050', which is about on par for good diving speed.Comment
