What was the item on your early x-9 level ?

I just want to say that i killed Baphomet at DL98 and he dropped TWO Dragon artifact armor. In this same game my first visit to DL98 i found FOUR Rings Of Power on the same level.

The race is high elf, so device skill is good; the thing is that important melee fights are mostly done utilizing single combat and I cant hide there out of sight to zap the rod.

Early rod of healing isn't that useless. It is a very long while before you can cast the equivalent spell. Depending on your race, you might be able to use it by CL 30.

I also got "trickery, on dlvl 14, 4-9, labyrinth level.

Edit: Followed by a rod of healing on dlvl 18, 4-9. Useless for my paladin, alas.

Edit 2: Still in the same game, dlvl 20, 4-9 again: !experience.

I think this is the first time I've ever had a *-9 on DL 1. Turned out to be an amulet of trickery <+3, +1, +4>. Not a bad start…

My first source of res base, but rpoison is wasted as I am a kobold.

I got a 1-8 level feeling on DL3 and found a Rod of Drain Life. Sadly, I'm playing a Paladin, so I have only a 29.9% chance of success at CL8.

I don't play with level feelings, but I found a Bow of Lothlorien (x5) (+6, +14) at 50', aka DL01. That's gotta qualify as X-9. This is by far the easiest first 20 character levels I have ever done. Half-orc priest. Insane.

Dlvl 15, 3-9: Nature's Craft. And I am a ranger, now I just need a good bow.
