Just trying out "my" version of ToME+Theme. (Essentially 2.3.5/1.2.0 with lots of misc. fixes.)

Trying a Possessor for the heck of it. Forgot to up Possession skill (did pump Corpse-preservation) before killing Eol, and was punished by him not leaving a corpse. So I've gone for the Minotaur who has a mediocre body, but great speed.

The long-term plan is to go for Ingeborg the Runemistress' body and then try to get Antimagic from Fumblefingers.

Not sure which body to go for next... considering trying to get an GWoC for extreme summoning power (but percious little else since I don't have Barehand). Maybe I'll try to go for the Watcher, but I'll have to get ImmAcid first...

I don't quite have enough offensive power to take on the Necromancer, but that's who I think I'll be possessing to take on Ingeborg -- he has enough HP to survive most things.

Choices, choices...

[Level 35] Well, snagged the Watcher's corpse.

Probably going to level a bit at Erebor. Hopefully going to find the Sceptre of Numenor (Wraithform is just too useful to pass up) before taking on the Necromancer.

Found a Climbing Set which means this guy is off to the Mountains to find a Thunderlord corpse. Thunderlord summoning combined with melee should be more than enough to take down the Necromancer.

[Level 39]

Bleh. Changed over to a Gold Thunderlord body, but apparently the Thunderlord Summoning skill doesn't work in all dungeons (esp. not Erebor). With "only" 2 ring slots, damage output is pretty pathetic. Still, 2800HP is pretty nice...

Going to hang around Erebor until the Sceptre of Numenor shows up.

Got bored waiting for the Sceptre and went for the Necromancer. Alas, he didn't leave a corpse. I guess I'll have to try to get something else...

Killed Glaurung and possessed his body -- unfortunately I forgot to disable the Automatizer, so the Gold Thunderlord corpse way destroyed accidentally.

Anyway, while the summons are very nice, almost zero melee damage is too restricting to take down Ingeborg (or even to get to her native dlvl 127). I'll have to see if I can kill one of the unique B's and use that body.

[Level 44] Sigh. Got careless and grabbed the corpse of Sarko without checking the food supply... Realized that I'd have to ditch the body too late. Did make it to the town at the foot of mount Erebor, but they only sell fresh foods, not Satisfy Hunger scrolls...

I guess there's a lesson about getting a junkart with Satisfy Hunger in there somewhere.

Oh well. Will try an Ent possessor with the same general game plan.

Hopefully he'll have a little better luck getting summoner corpses.

(Just to clarify the previous post: I was wearing some cursed equipment and so wasn't able to change bodies immediately.)

Restarted as an Ent. Currently level 27 and have all the usual starting equipment and was lucky enough to get the Minotaur's body. Very useful to have +25ish innate speed :).

[Level 29]

Snagged Eol's body. Very nice powers and speed. Just a little short on HP, but I think I'll try to get to level 35 and start scumming Erebor a little for EXP.

Just traveling through Mirkwood and getting slightly worried as I don't seem to have got a lot of Lost Sword quests this time around... that's suboptimal when you're relying on them for Antimagic later on.

Meh, had two more runs:

#1: Made it as far as killing Ingeborg. Unfortunately Sisyphos was only able to get Antimagic once from all the FF quests (well, all except the ones in Angband.), so he suicided.

#2: Made it as far as Ingeborg... only to discover that his melee output was too dismal (bad equipment) to overcome her frequent self-heals. Just held down the arrow key in frustration. Predicably died.

I'm going to try an Ascetic who gets Weaponmastery instead.
