Also, there's no way to survive at dl 27 without an escape (_Teleportation). It can be done when playing Ironman, but it's a matter of extreme luck.

Also, Phase door is a good way to get killed when against a group. !CCW iis a better choice, especially when it recovers a significant fraction of injury.

Finally, what are you doing playing footsie with hounds anyway? With group AI enabled, they are reasonably easy to evade, but brutal to fight. Just not worth it unless they are giving you a huge chunk of EXP (relative) for not a lot of effort.

I'd had my _Tele burnt, and should really have recalled, but decided to take one more stair and landed in the two packs of hounds. Previous couple of turns I'd quaffed !CCW, but was losing all the HP in one turn, so decided to punt on a phase.
