Well, I've won with druids and with necromancers, and with warriors so it's time to try piety again. Roguish things and sorcerors will just have to wait.

I think that this character will play pretty similar to the other giant winner, except without genocide, and with more healing (can you ever have enough) and better clairvoyance-like things.

I'll try to continue to be picky about my fights. Wrestling for the time being is pretty good. Starting to encounter demons, which makes practicing spellcasting easy enough (within mana constraints).

Just trying to dive continuously. Leave annoying levels and monsters (up or down), and try to grab what equipment I can. The nice part about Giant wrestling spellcasters is that they're fairly equipment neutral. No need for good weapons or good armor. Spells are readily available in the early game which makes the early game fast, if you dont' take quests. Giant and wrestling is good, as you get good hp, which is good, as you lose some by being a caster. It's not until dlevel 50 or so that you need a break on the equipment end of things. And then you just need a good source of basic4, FA, SI, and some con-boosting equip to be ready to roll.

In other news, I recently found free action. Still no rods of zapping, unfortunately. Makes it hard to practice magic devices in the early game.

Wrestling is the main source of damage still, and will be, until I get some awesome magic devices or some better spells. Getting a lot of use out of prayer (longer bless) and the healing spells of course.

Looking forward to better items. I've seen 3 egos. lantern of acuity, torch of acuity, and spear of slay evill. Don't really need resistances for another 20 levels, but they sure are nice to have well covered. Some more con and more wisdom would be great in the mean time.

Not a whole lot going on. Offed Bolg, Boldor, Ulfast, and Nar last level. Bounty wasn't great except rod of lightning balls. Still a little improbable to activate, but usefull the same.

I could use some ego items or some artifacts. Well, who couldn't.

Should try to dive a little faster, trying for 1M turns, perhaps? Hopefully I'll get a good drop so I don't have to wait around at dlevel50 for a good source of basic4 and FA. That would speed things up a lot. Of course, having scan object is wonderful in that regard. I just wish I had mana (I'd love some pots of wis). Speaking of stat gain potions, I found a str potion unided and picked up 3 points of strength. Very useful.

Maybe a diff race, for the wis bonus. Dwarf maybe? Bad magic devices means I'll need a different way to kill Morgy though.
