I figured a Ninja should be able to handle the 'unusual' rooms options turned on and he seems to be going ok.

I found the Lantern of Darkness early so decided to try and get Sting which he did without too much fuss at chlvl 25.

I had one previous Ninja character who was a blast ( Nimble Ned ) but an accident with some housekeeping and a disk upgrade on my pc meant that he died in limbo at chlvl 32. I was so upset by it I couldn't bring myself to play a Ninja again until now...

Yes - he carries the Lizard King ("Hamburger") to feed on if required. If there's one thing "Blacklance" taught me it's to carry a packed lunch wherever you go - you never know when you might need it.

And Logrus master quest is risky to do early without rChaos, even with a ninja (so well done ^^). In the case he casts raw logrus you're most likely toast. !oCuring may save you but with its speed he can cast that (or summon) more often in the time you quaff it.
