I failed the cloning pits because of unfamiliarity with it ( Next time I'll go when I'm higher than lvl 28 and make sure I have chaos resistance LOL...

From my limited exposure to this variant I gather I already have a handy pair of boots and missile launcher which will probably retain their spots till the end of the game...

I know I should be trying to acquire some black clothes and a source of light of darkness but buggered if I can fiigure out where I'm likely to find those items... I guess I'll just keep stumbling around.

Oh - I've found the Rod of Probing invaluable for working out what I can take and what should be left alone. Believe me - when I probed 'Jack of Shadows' on Angband 38' (chlvl 30) I soon worked out I did not want to tap him on the shoulder yet...

Any tips most welcome - as I've said - I'm a newbie at this variant...

If their they don't equip shields, their AC is increased by lvl/2+5.

Poison resistance is pretty much mandatory around l40 but u got it as intrinsic and chaos would be nice too due to mind blasting monster (results are nasty mutations and LONG hallucination if you dont have chaos resistance)[mind blasting happens every time you see the monster naturally or through telepathy] and to avoid mutations/race change. Only potions of curing or staff of curing removes hallu.

I think I can remember cleaning up some files on my pc a while ago and I have a horrible feeling I deleted him.....

Oh well I'll just continue with my Golem Samurai ( Captain Clay - not posted yet ) and I think I'll just try and concentrate on one character at a time from now on...
