Well, this is the first time I've had any sort of successful character in any *band (well, outside of a Half-Orc Soldier in XBand, but that character didn't get too far), and yes, I know, muchkin, but hey, I'm still facing stuff that gives my character a run for its money (like encountering a mine layer/war bantam pit on level 35, and having to defeat Obours on level 37 (I think)). Any tips anyone can give me equipment- and skill-wise would be very useful (I don't think I really need to have the amulet I have equipped, well, equipped).

I would focus on Vicious strike, Power strike, and either swift blow or weapon finesse - whichever one says it works better with a high strength. Take it slow, be careful and you should be fine. Your point allocation looks good. I wish you luck!
