Oh, and the lovely rat mini-pit. As if breeders aren't bad enough, Eytan had to put in rooms that start half-full of the things...

After scumming the BM, I recalled to find a "L" LV with Mim, Ugluk, and my first Minor Horror. The vault was surprisingly easy to clear, and Mim never got in disenchant range. I slowed him in a corridor and threw the largest MM I could muster. It also helped that he started in a corner surrounded by three non-movers so that I could keep him contained until the rest of the pit was clear. He dropped 'Firestar' and an ogre dropped 'Orcrist' making two artifacts from the vault, small as it was. To supplement that, there's ANOTHER money pit on this level as well.

I'm sure to die soon...

I've seen no mystic books up till this point, and now they both fall in my lap just before and just after Lokkak. Things are going well, and my next quest looks relatively easy; 13 Emporer Wights with my saving throw, Mastery of Space, Absorb Hit, and OOD! Here I come!

I could actually use more mana now. Caspanion was a nice find, but it raises all my fails 19%! Holhenneth was nice to get as well as it let me swap out Thorongil for Colannon and pick up nexus resist just in time for two vortex pits on the last two levels.

Thanks to my hany Thranduil I knew where to dig my hockey-stick corridors, and then lured them in to certain death one at a time. I got the added help of stunning by using my Force Bolt talismans along with the high Mana Bolt. Got a nice reward too! BoS (+9)! On with the dive!
