I was thinking about the Cloning Pits but Mother Hydra quickly taught me to be patient. I guess with my 13 !Healing and 9 !Speed I could do it, especially as I am a bit faster now, but Mother nearly killed when I was at +13 speed.

Now Quick Walk and Frenzy are both stances, meaning you can't have them active at the same time. There's also a new Flying Dagger Stance which hopefully makes Dagger Toss much more competitive (it increases base damage of thrown daggers, as well as makes daggers returning). Dagger Toss now has a multiplier which is your #blows, but in exchange suffer a -3*DIST tohit penalty.

I haven't started working on the changes yet, and I'm going to have to cut back my time devoted to Chengband quite a bit, actually. Just a heads up. Its too easy to get sucked in ... So, I'll probably try to get the dagger guy finished as well as the rand arts balanced in short order, but other specialities will probably need to just trickle out when time permits. Well, I've said this before and it didn't mean much, so we'll see :)

[1] Berserk ability is no longer the way to go. In a battle frenzy, I can't cast spells. So I can't toss daggers, strafe, etc. So, I'll probably try another race (a *stealthy* race :) And while I could enter the Frenzy stance and then berserk, I have a suspicion that this is a bit unbalanced so that berserk should probably cause you to lose your stance. Dave, thoughts?

[2] Failing the return is scary when lots of monsters are about. Plus, if my *Slay Evil* dagger failed to return, it could easily get destroyed. So, throwing artifacts or good daggers is the way to go. Since the return is indexed to dex, I'll probably try another race (a *dextrous* race :)

[3] Damage dice on your weapon are really important. Specializing in ninjato's might be wiser. Imagine a ninjato of slaying? Or Kamui which is 5d9 if monsters lack poison resist.

Hmmm ... a combat hobbit ninjato-master sounds good :)
