Major luck so far is Ringil in the Cloning Pits! Sweet. I had to wait a bit to level up for blessing, and I got it on my 3rd go, leaving a satisfying (+19, +23). I was so happy, I went and busted Santa Claus. I know, I know, those toys were heading for all the good girls and boys. Hardly priestly behavior, but he was my quest monster ...

Well, I had my stealth all the way up to Heroic, thanks to Belthronding and Hithlomir. But then I lucked into a suit of BDSM, and I can resist covering up Shards. Plus, this kit really shows off my helm, which gets the honor of covering Elec, Fire and Poison.

What's worth more? A +4 strength shield or a reflection shield? For the time being, I'm going with the strength. Later on, I guess reflection will be more valuable.

I found my first RoS at last (+6) and decided it is necessary, since I am approaching dispel magic depth. But I can't really give up my +5 con ring or something will squish me if I am careless. So, the +19 damage ring had to go. Also, I gave up my +4 Str shield for Anarion, deciding to go the high AC route (232), but that costs me another +8 damage. Maybe I'll switch back, but what I really want is Thorin.

Restoration has got to be my favorite spell. On the last level, I had that old familiar special feeling. It took forever to clear and I must have had my stats drained a dozen times, but I hardly minded.

Even with my favorite spell, restoration, I was no match for Richard Wong! Damn, his dispel magic, stop time, drain stats and mana bolts really put a severe strain on my mana requirements. At only 300hp damage per round (~60% accuracy), I was under 200hp damage against the guy. I did manage to get 5 stars off him, but at that point I was out of spell points (wasted my lone !RestoreMana) and *severely* stat drained. So, I called it off. I guess I'll hang out below my DL88 quest and hope for better gear. I finally found my second RoS, but it was only +5. Only one extra attacks: -1.

Crud ... I knew I should have kept that Ring of Con +5 on. Also, I swapped out Anarion figuring my restoration spell would be enough. But Corwin did me in. First, I beat him down to 1 star, and he teleported away. Before I could find him again, he regenerated back to full health, so this put me in the mindset *not* to waste a turn to cast restoration before killing him. Mistake! Bloodcurse teleported me out into the open, summoned Shuma-Gorath and a pack of chaos hounds. Monsters get the first move after a blood curse, and Shuma hit me with a full strength mana storm. At 592hp, I'm surprised to have survived that, but the nearby chaos hounds finished the job.

Damn ... I thought dwarves were supposed to have lots of hp? I was under 700 before my con got drained. Actually, I'm not sure the restoration would have saved me, but that Ring of Con +5 and Anarion probably would have.
