| Steamband is a Steampunk / Victorian / Pulp variant of Angband. Some of the most detailed and consistent themes in any roguelike, backed by intense work on the game balance and pacing problems plaguing other projects, combines to serve up a refreshing, fun alternative to the Tolkien/D&D focus of most variants. Charles is a British Naturalist, who needs to get back to the surface of the Earth in time to catch the Beagle. Winner is the least turns to kill the final boss (who lives on the surface), or if no game winner the highest experience/turns. Tips: Use 'G' to allocate skill points.
