~Killed Mughash with one hit point left. A lucky arrow indeed. Marksmanship is cool.
~Killed Balcmeg and Ulfast by darting around a forest clearing and using my tree movement to make them trudge through the clearing whilst sniping them.
~The Lance was an expensive black market item but really helps clean up weak monsters saving me arrows. Makes digging out treasure deposits a cinch too.

Poor Susie got yeeked. Was fighting Boldor for a really long time and couldn't quite land the killing arrow before he would blink away. Ran out of ccw, then got blinded by something and even hasted couldn't manage to stay healed long enough to teleport away from a fresh horde of Boldor summons. Must get better bow next time.

As a Green-Elf Ranger, fighting in forests is a big plus (single move to walk through trees, and +3 speed on a forest level). So I tend to stay away from the dungeon for a bit; given my success, you may want to ignore that, though :/

Better bow: you could have taken a longbow +x/+y (maybe even the basic "0/0" one) and enchanted it up to +9/+9. Costly, but better bows seem to be very scarce anyway, at least down to Dlvl30 (did a ranger get deeper in FA-a, ever?) Enchanting stacks of 99 arrows seems worthwhile, too.
