Finally made it to the end with a medium. The artifacts in the last 10 levels or so made all the difference. Up until then, I was still relying on some basic resists with a ring of protection and the medium resist power (character armour?). I noticed that the normal races have produced some winners finally: Canuck, Russian, and now American. (Assuming 'Canuck' has no extra advantages). Saw the Marquis de la Tour was in there, very nice. Did not find the shotgun, but I usually do not tarry much in the endgame as mistakes have proven costly in the past. Well, maybe I should now work on those new monsters I promised. :)
